PRS Inactivity System change
Posted by Matthew Butterworth on Monday, February 22, 2010
The American Flight Airways and Pacific Airways management have agreed that the inactivity system across APG needed to be changed. It is only a small change, however it may affect a few pilots.
The old system, for pilots who have flown before, they had 6 weeks to file a flight and after 10 weeks termination would occur. It means pilots would not be removed over 2 months since there last flight. This does not match the operations manual of either APG airline. The ops manual states that pilots have 35 days (5 weeks) to file a flight plan, and will be terminated soon after.
Therefore the APG board have decided to change the inactivity system so it matches the ops manual of both airlines. Now pilots have 5 weeks (35 days) to file a flight before they go inactive. After that, the pilot has 3 more weeks (so two warnings, a warning every week) before they are changed to terminated, the following week pilots will then be removed from the roster.
The new system will be effective from the next update which is on Wednesday 24th February. If you have any questions please contact your hub staff.
